Chapter 1

What this app is for

This app teaches Ghana's 1992 Constitution: the rights it gives every Ghanaian, the duties it asks of us, and how the country is governed under it, one short lesson at a time, with practice after every lesson and an explanation after every answer.

It is for every Ghanaian of about twelve and over, grown-ups included, and it is free.

The lessons are still being written

Today the app holds only a short welcome lesson. The full course will appear in a folder called Ghana's Constitution on the home screen as it is written.

What the app does not do

It does not give legal advice. It teaches what the Constitution says; for a question about your own case, ask a lawyer, the Legal Aid Commission or CHRAJ.

Chapter 2

Getting started

Put it on your home screen

The app runs in a web browser, but it is meant to live on the home screen like any other app. On Android, open it in Chrome, tap the three dots and choose Add to Home screen or Install app. On iPhone, open it in Safari, tap the share button and choose Add to Home Screen.

Once it is there it opens full screen and works with no internet at all.

This surprises people

Opening the file inside WhatsApp, Gmail or a file manager shows a preview, and previews do not run apps: the buttons will not respond. Ask for the web link rather than the file, and open it in Chrome or Safari.

Add the first learner

Tap Add a learner, then give a first name, an age and a picture. No email is asked for, nothing is paid, and the app opens at once. Up to five learners can share one phone.

Every lesson, from the first day

Nothing is locked. The lessons are numbered in a sensible order, but you can open any of them at any time.

Chapter 3

Lessons and drills

Read the pages

Tap a lesson and its pages appear one at a time β€” Next page and Back move between them. On the last page, Start the drill appears. A learner who already knows the lesson can skip straight there from any page.

Why it is right β€” every time

After every answer, right or wrong, the app shows the right answer and why it is right. Nothing moves on by itself.

Mistakes come back

About four in ten questions in a round are drawn from what that learner has missed before. Mixed revision on the home screen draws questions from every lesson started.

The screens explained

The grown-up check

Reports, Settings, Support and the class dashboard sit behind a multiplication question. It is not security; it simply stops a report or a setting being changed by accident.

My chart and Questions I miss

My chart shows scores over time and a board of every lesson, green where it is secure. Questions I miss lists the questions this learner gets wrong most often, with a button to practise exactly those.

Settings

SettingWhat it does
Questions per round5, 10, 15 or 20. A lesson's drill never repeats a question to fill a round.
Way of speaking and voiceWhich accent and voice read the questions aloud.
SoundsTurns the tones off.
AnimationsTurns off movement.
Bring back questions I missed more oftenWeaves past mistakes back into rounds. Leave it on.

Chapter 5

Reports, and using it in a class

The report is written from the learner's own recorded answers: drills done, accuracy, each lesson, a chart, the questions missed most, and recommendations. You can print it, save it as a PDF, email it or send it on WhatsApp. It is not a school grade.

Chapter 6

It is free

There is nothing to pay, no card to give and no code to type. A learner added on this phone gets every lesson and drill straight away. If a notice ever says the free time is running out, tap Carry on and it starts again β€” still free.

Chapter 7

If something goes wrong

β€œThe learner has disappeared.”

Almost always the browser's data was cleared, or the app was opened in a different browser. Results live in the browser that made them. Restore from a backup β€” see the next chapter.

β€œI see an old version.”

Close every tab of the app and open it again, with internet on.

β€œAn answer looks wrong.”

Tell us through Support, saying which lesson and question.

Chapter 8

Your results, and how not to lose them

The part you must understand

Every result lives in this browser on this device, and nowhere else. Nothing is uploaded to us. That keeps a learner's work private β€” and it means that clearing the browser, changing phone or reinstalling will lose it unless you have saved a backup.

Making a backup

Settings β†’ Save a backup writes a small file to the device. Email it to yourself and it is safe. To bring it back: Settings β†’ Restore from a backup. If the learner already exists on the device, the copy with more history is kept.

Starting again, or erasing a learner

Settings β†’ Clear results wipes that learner's scores but keeps the learner. Settings β†’ Erase this pupil removes the learner and everything they did. It cannot be undone, so save a backup first.
